June was a busy and exciting month. First it was off to play in the Celtic Manor Open, at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales -  the second  of the two European Tour exemptions that Paul received as the winner of the Golf Channel's BBIV -  and then on to play in the  BA-CA Open at the Fontana Golf Club in beautiful Baden, Austria.

Although many requests were made to acquire an exemption in the Austrian event it was not until Paul met Nick German from the European Tour Productions that it actually materialized.  It  was through Nick's efforts and contacts at IMG and E-motion Management (BA -CA Promoters) that  Paul received a very special invitation.  This included an exemption to play in the BA-CA Open,  the Celebrity Pro-Am, Gala Ball (by invitation only)  and the BA-CA Pro - Am.  Thanks again to: Nick German, Peter German (no relation to Nick), Edwin Wiendorfer and the E-motion staff and of course, The European Tour.

Paul shot 73-69 in Wales, and a 77-68 (with no bogeys) in Austria.  The second rounds though GREAT were one shot (Wales) and two shots (Austria) above the cut lines.  I said maybe he needed to find Tournaments with only second day rounds. : (  The results however disappointing  provided experiences and life long memories that remain forever.  No matter  at what level you play the game of golf,  it  (golf) will always give you both challenges and rewards simultaneously.  Click on: Wales and Austria Pictures

This past week Paul played in Verona, New York at the PGA Professional National Championship -  78-75.  Yes, golf can certainly test one's resolve at times.

Paul played great in Portugal having 9 birdies for two days and was 5 under par for 33 holes. Day one - 3 double bogies the first round shooting 76 (2 bad swings and a bad decision).  He followed it up on day two with 5 birdies and a 69.  This was the 15th lowest score of the day out of 156 players.  Great comeback!!!  His total of 145 was +1 for the two days and he missed the cut by 1 stroke. The European Tour commentators were very complimentary stating that it is extremely difficult to play occasionally at that level against guys playing full time 30 weeks per year.  They also said Paul has all the shots and the game to be competitive out there!!!!!  Click On: Portugal First Picture

Paul did go on to Augusta to the Master's.   Paul said if you have not been to the Masters you must go and Paul has a way to fullfill this dream.

April 19th Paul played in the Oakmont C.C. annual Pro-Am and had 5 birdies and an eagle shooting 67 and finished 1st. Also,  on May 3rd Paul had 6 birdies and an eagle and shot 66 at DeBell G.C. in a Sr./Jr. Pro Event. His team shot 60 Best Ball and he was 1st in both divisions.

The A..G. Spanos Tour continues ... made possible with the help of www.gohenderson.com. Thank you Matt Henderson for the opportunity.  Through the assistance of Tour Talent we have petitioned for several Nationwide Tour Exemptions.

He continues his five year relationship with Titleist by remaining on the Leadership Advisory Staff for Titleist "Player's Division" this year.

Enjoy the photos from Scotland and yes he did go 100% Scottish tradition in the kilts
